32 The main aim of the Adaptive Delta Planning theme is to integrate our technical knowledge about water, subsurface and infrastructure with governance and policy-making to solve problems in highly complex systems in dynamic deltas and cities. The primary focus is therefore on developing and testing concepts, methods and instruments to achieve this goal. The theme naturally requires strong ties with all the other Deltares themes.
